Running Keeps You Young
If you are an active senior who wants to stay younger, keep on running.
A new study involving the Univ. of Colorado Boulder and Humboldt State Univ. shows that senior citizens who run several times a week for exercise expend about the same amount of energy walking as a typical 20-year-old.
But older people who walk for exercise rather than jog expend about the same amount of energy walking as older, sedentary adults, and expend up to 22 percent more energy walking than the 20-something crowd.

I don’t really know what to expect from myself in my race today. But I’m shooting big. I’ve experienced 2 minute PR’s this year, and I keep shooting higher. The thought of underachieving is more frightening than big goals. I’m here to test my limits.

i had the same problem than you ,especially i live in a big city and i don’t have quiet place around me
,so i run really early ,when they have nobody around,
second advice get some music with you and you won’t think about that anymore

Pre and post run. 2 miles 30 minutes. I had to stop for a break after a half mile though because I almost peed my pants. Lol.

So proud of myself for finishing the last week of C25K!! WOOHOO!! The next run will be for full 30 minutes and I know I can do it!! And it was a good run!
